Great article Gary. Yes, prevention is better than cure, as they say. I'm not a competitive athlete although at 66 I still consider myself an athlete and say I've never let a year go by in 47 years where I haven't got into 'training' and got super fit, relative to my age and genetics. As a school boy I did gymnastics and wrestling, played rugby and was a fast sprinter often winning on school sport's days. But in college, I took up smoking and chasing girls and hated school road and cross country runs, believing I wasn't cut out for that kind of punishment. By the way, we ran the Stairway a few months ago and mean to go back and do it again. Being a pensioner, I get to have a free train ride back to the beginning!
