Is the Therapeutic Products Bill a Fastrack Trojan Horse for mRNA Drugs?

Updated: Apr 5

(Updated 6 March 2023)

I suspect the real purpose of the Therapeutic Products Bill is to allow the fast-tracking of new biotechnologies, including gene therapies such as mRNA drugs. You could say it is a Trojan Horse. In the video above, I refer to mRNA vaccines as catastrophes. I say this with the benefit of growing evidence to support this claim. This latest report in the British Medical Journal, for example (Consider, carefully, the points I have highlighted):

Abstract In 2022, students at North American universities with third-dose COVID-19 vaccine mandates risk disenrolment if unvaccinated. To assess the appropriateness of booster mandates in this age group, we combine empirical risk-benefit assessment and ethical analysis. To prevent one COVID-19 hospitalisation over a 6-month period, we estimate that 31 207–42 836 young adults aged 18–29 years must receive a third mRNA vaccine. Booster mandates in young adults are expected to cause a net harm: per COVID-19 hospitalisation prevented, we anticipate at least 18.5 serious adverse events from mRNA vaccines, including 1.5–4.6 booster-associated myopericarditis cases in males (typically requiring hospitalisation). We also anticipate 1430–4626 cases of grade ≥3 reactogenicity interfering with daily activities (although typically not requiring hospitalisation). University booster mandates are unethical because they: (1) are not based on an updated (Omicron era) stratified risk-benefit assessment for this age group; (2) may result in a net harm to healthy young adults; (3) are not proportionate: expected harms are not outweighed by public health benefits given modest and transient effectiveness of vaccines against transmission; (4) violate the reciprocity principle because serious vaccine-related harms are not reliably compensated due to gaps in vaccine injury schemes; and (5) may result in wider social harms. We consider counterarguments including efforts to increase safety on campus but find these are fraught with limitations and little scientific support. Finally, we discuss the policy relevance of our analysis for primary series COVID-19 vaccine mandates. https://jme.bmj.com/content/early/2022/12/05/jme-2022-108449

No matter the extent of opposition, I fear this legislation will be rail-roaded into law. It has been said that mRNA and other gene editing technologies are the new and most fantastic gold rush ever, with at least 500 mRNA drugs planned or currently under development, which I think is terrifying, especially for my grandchildren's future. It is terrifying because these drugs are inherently unsafe. Therefore, more Orwellian coercion and control will be imposed upon us all to make their plans work. Without coercion and brain-washing, people will never willingly allow these poisons to be injected into their bodies, let alone their children.

This legislation is critical for the fast-tracking into the commercial production of mRNA and other gene technologies because it allows the Regulator to bypass the usual lengthy safety processes that these poisons will never pass due to their inherent harm. The Regulator also approves or bans alternatives to these gene-based drugs, thus ensuring sick and vulnerable people have no choice but to inject high-value, patented gene-altering drugs. In addition, the Regulator has the last word on what health claims are permitted for natural therapies, with massive fines and lengthy prison terms for anyone who makes an unapproved claim, even if that claim is supported by research evidence. Despite widespread opposition, this legislation will pass into law. So, what can we do about it?

The last time this kind of legislation was passed, Winston Peters scrapped it three weeks after gaining "Kingmaker" status in the Labour-NZ First Coalition Government of 2017. He promises to do it again:

"The Therapeutic Products Bill currently progressing through parliament will do nothing but create more red tape and bureaucracy. All it will achieve is increased costs, shutting down small kiwi businesses, and forcing the market to be controlled by big pharmaceutical companies". Winston Peters @winstonpeters, 6th March 2023

The election later this year is shaping up to be the most important one in the history of our democratic nation. We must clarify the critical issues between now and casting our votes, then decide which party and candidates best represent our views. In the final analysis, we must select just one political party and not make the fatal mistake of splitting our votes among several parties competing for support from the same limited pool of voters.

Please continue to watch this space and expect some exciting announcements soon.
