No Relief in Sight Under New Leadership

(First published 5th July 2025, updated 928th July, 2025)

We had such high hopes.

Who is running this country?
Who is running this country?

When Labour was finally voted out, many of us breathed a careful sigh of relief. Surely, we thought the new government would end the draconian and absurd overreach that defined the Ardern era. But here we are — months into a new administration — and nothing has changed. In fact, in some ways, it's getting worse. Yes, they have the second part of the investigation into the COVID response. But I worry it will be another Erebus report, focused on controlling damage for the offenders, and too late to be of much good.

This morning's Otago Daily Times headline reads like a tragic rerun:"GP must pay $65k for prescribing Ivermectin."

The offender, Dr Sophie Jane Febery, a registered medical practitioner from Mataura. During the height of the COVID‑19 pandemic, she prescribed ivermectin to 29 patients, imported 2,000 tablets, and faced charges for inadequate record‑keeping and breaching the Medicines Act. The tribunal required her to pay just over $67,000 in fines and costs.

Here is a short video of Dr Ferbery being true to her profession, to science, her patients, and to common sense:

Let's be crystal clear: ivermectin is not fringe. Billions of doses have been safely used worldwide. It's on the World Health Orgnaisation's essential medicines list. When prescribed properly by a trained health professional, like Dr Febery, it's very safe. But during the years of the Great Panic, it was demonised — not because it was unsafe, but because it challenged the dominance of high‑margin, patented pharmaceuticals and the mRNA agenda. It would have prevented the roll-out of the dodgy mRNA vaccines under the legal exemption of Emergency Use Authorisation (EUA).

In my earlier post, "Introducing the Medical Mafia", I laid bare how pharmaceutical power and regulatory lockstep stifle medical freedom. This case shows the same standover tactics are still being used against our doctors and their patients.

Don, one of my long‑time supporters, summed it up perfectly:

“This article shows this government is following the same footsteps as the Jacinda Ardern Labour Government. It’s crazy. I’d like to write a letter to the Editor—but they just won’t print it.”

That says it all.

When a GP is punished for helping her patients, when dissent is silenced, and when science is replaced with bureaucratic edicts, we're no longer living in a free society. We're living under medical tyranny.

This fight is a long one. It isn't a single pitched battle — it's a daily slog, much like the war of attrition being waged in Ukraine. Truth‑tellers are worn down, silenced. But we hold on strong, we endure — and we push forward.

Because this isn't just about ivermectin. It's about the right to choose, to use food as medicine, to have access to off-patent medicines, and to think critically, and to heal with dignity. It's about tearing down the Medical Mafia, reclaiming integrity in healthcare, and honouring those who walk the free range path.

Great article you put together Garry on this subject of this Southland doctor being fined &65,000 dollars by the NZ Medical Council for using the very safe drug called Ivermectin for treatment of her Covid ill patients.

Only late yesterday I was informed that my brother in-law has ended up in Dunedin hospital with very bad pneumonia and also Kidney problems as well, and he has been mRNA injected, he told his sister that he is receiving very good treatment and help by the Dunedin hospital staff.

I was at a Balclutha chemist picking up a prescription yesterday and I had to stand behind 6-7 people who all were trying to get over the counter drugs for Covid-19 illness, they…

Yes, medical mafia for sure. I'm in the freedom movement, and we all agree that the current government is weak and has done nothing to change what the Labour regime under Jackboots put in place. It's all so very disturbing. We indeed live in very unsettling times.
