Hey everyone, I've got some exciting news to share — I'm officially returning to the Masters to defend my mountain bike (MTB) title! If we count the MTB marathon in the mix, this'll mark my fifth go at it. Five times stepping up to the line, pushing the pedals, and chasing that thrill of victory. I'm getting ready for the MTB Masters World Championships for the second time in Cairns, Australia. I'm excited to go back and give it my all yet again.
This journey means a lot to me, and I'd love for you to come along for the ride — literally! I'll be documenting the whole process, from the grind of training to the race itself. Expect video recordings of my training rides, where I'll share the ups, downs, and everything in between. Whether it's tackling brutal climbs, dialling in my technique, or just soaking in the stoke of being out on the trails, I'll be posting clips for you to follow.
Just one thing: I'm a novice at operating the camera and editing the footage. However, rest assured that the quality will get better as this journey progresses! I'll post new videos here, as an update to this article.
So, if you're into MTB, or just curious to see what it takes to defend a title at the Masters World Championships, stick around! Keep an eye out for the videos, and let's roll through this adventure together. I'd love to hear your thoughts, tips, or even your own riding stories along the way — drop me a comment anytime in the comments section below this article, thank you.
Here's to the trails, the sweat, and the chase for number five in Cairns.
